Tournament Information	*Co-Sponsored by:* *County* of *Sacramento* *Regional Parks* *Eligibility:* This tournament is open to all male amateur golfers age 18 and older, who are members of an organized golf club with a current handicap between 5.0 and 20.0. Players with a handicap of more than 20 are welcome to participate, but will compete with a handicap of 20. Handicap indexes for July will be verified by the Tournament Committee using the GHIN system. A handicap card or other handicap verification may be required in the event handicap access is not obtained. The SGC has the authority to adjust a handicap based on tournament scores. Entry Fees: $110.00 Per Player. Includes two (2) days green fees and awards—Power Cart not included. Deadline for entry is 14 July 2008. Submission of an entry indicates willingness on the part of the player to abide by the rules and decisions of the tournament committee. Two applications submitted together will be paired. No foursomes. There will be a $20.00 service charge for all returned checks. *Format:* Play will be 36 holes of stroke play using full handicaps. Players who tie for the championship will be asked to break the tie in a playoff. All other ties in a flight will be decided by the recommended USGA method of matching scorecards.. *Awards:* The player with the total low net over the field will be declared the Sacramento County Handicap Champion and his name will be inscribed on the perpetual trophy and awarded a gift certificate. Other prizes will be awarded based on net scores in each flight. Presentation of awards will take place immediately following the conclusion of the tournament. All winners are requested to be present to accept their awards. *Rules:* All play will follow United States Golf Association (USGA) Rules, except for Local Rules posted by the Tournament Committee prior to play. In the absence of a Rules Official, the competitors shall use Rule 3-3 (play an alternate ball) and refer any disputes to the Tournament Committee, whose decision shall be final. If any point in dispute is not covered by USGA or Local Rules, the decision shall be made in accordance with equity. Players are responsible for reporting to the first tee when called, or an appropriate penalty (Rule 6-3) will be assessed. Players are responsible for returning their own attested and correct scorecard to the scoring table. Recommended dress code: Appropriate golf attire— shirts with sleeves, no tank tops - jeans are discouraged. *Check-in:* All rounds will start when scheduled. Contestants must check in at least 20 minutes prior to their starting time.
